Description:
A rare and wonderful, bright yellow earthenware mug in vivid contrasting colours featuring Napoleon Bonaparte looking subdued and sombre surrounded by bleak deadwood and debris, perhaps representing his exile on St Helena.
Circa 1820
Approx 4 inches (100mm) tall.
In good condition with restoration to the bottom of the handle and a hairline crack towards the bottom of the mug.
